Reach Out: Serve
We don't just talk church, we do it.
Jesus' ministry was alive and active. Following His example, the Woodside family aims to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, in our country and around the world. Not only do we contribute 11% of our operating budget to support mission organizations and individual missionaries, most of our members participate in at least one outreach ministry.
In 2010 alone, Woodside:
- sent out 250 disciples for a day of service instead of Sunday morning worship
- prepared 200 Aids for Friends meals
- collected over 100 gifts for the Angel Tree
- assembled 4,000 hygiene kits for the homeless
- donated enough money to dig two water wells in Africa and purchase a van for Code Blue Transportation
- fed the needy in our community through our monthly dinner ministry
- sent over 80 adults and youth on short-term overseas mission trips
- sponsored missionaries in Lebanon, India and the Dominican Republic
- visited nursing homes, prisons, homeless shelters
- sheltered our homeless neighbors as a Code Blue site for
