Deacons
The Board of Deacons is is comprised of twelve ordained members whose role is to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith. The Deacons care for the Woodside community through calls, notes, and prayers. Deacons assist the Pastor in serving home communion and provide meals for those who are recovering from medical or personal crises or have a newborn in their family.
Other Deacon ministries include greeting on Sunday mornings, delivering flowers to shut-ins, hosting funeral receptions, sponsoring 2 blood drives annually for the American Red Cross, and sending care packages to college students and those serving in the military.
Our current Board of Deacons are the Moderator Laurie Jacobson, Tom Harsha, Diane Campbell, Jeff Hill, Ginger Romig, Rich Law, Rachel Galletta, and Bob Broeze, Jane Detraz, Clifford Hutchens, Fred Rappell, and Peggy Wilson. |
